Spend an unforgettable holiday in this 15th century castle, lost in the countryside, yet only 1 hour from Glasgow, and 2h from Edinburgh. Built as an anniversary present for Princess Mary, the eldest daughter of James II of Scotland, this haunted castle features antique furniture and a pit prison behind a flagstone trap door. The Castle welcomes up to 14 guests and features 6 bedrooms, linked by a beautiful stone staircase. Spend a night in the intricately hand-carved four poster beds, relax in its 3 bathrooms, and enjoy full access to the castle's kitchen. The castle is available for a 1 week rental which will give you plenty of time to discover Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, the Isle of Arran and many more beautiful Scottish landscapes.

We can create a bespoke experience for your stay including guided tours of the highlands and Glasgow, catering, exciting activities (see our catalogue below), and transportation from Edinburgh or Glasgow.
